From its inception, the LP7 file format was designed to last at least as long as required by law.

1. Standards, only standards

The LP7 file format entirely relies on established, proven and reliable technical standards: X509V3 for certificates, CMS (Cryptographic Message Syntax) for the file structure, RFC3161 for time stamping and RFC3126 for advanced signature attributes. With more than 10 years of existence behind them, these standards guarantee the permanence of our technology. Furthermore, this unconditional support of technical standards eases the expertise and audit of the LP7 technology, and allow the probative value of the digital originals in case of litigation. The CMS compatibility of the LP7 file format can easily be demonstrated with the capacity of open source software such as Cryptonit to verify the appellation signature of an LP7 file. Finally, when it comes to the cryptographic algorithms themselves, we rely on the open source Bouncy Castle library. This library, entirely developed in Java(tm), presents the advantage of being regularly tested, audited, and enhanced by the Internet developer community and internationaly renowned security experts.

2. An LP7 file reader and signer, 100% free

The added value of the Lex Persona solution relies on its capacity to create secure, authenticated and unique originals. Once created, any user should be allowed to verify, sign, countersign, view and extract an LP7 file with no added costs. To this end, Lex Persona offers LP7Signer for free. The ad vitam eternam availability of LP7Signer software ensures the permanence of the LP7 file format. For example, you are free to save a copy of LP7Signer on the CDROMs on which you archive your LP7 files.

3. The LP7 kernel software is registered with the French Software Protection Agency

All our software is developed using the Java(tm) language by experimented software developers. Java(tm) is considered today as a standard. To develop the LP7 kernel and its applications, we use IntelliJ IDEA as our integrated development environment, which guarantees quality and efficient coding.

To protect our customers and partners, we have registered our source code with the French Software Protection Agency to which we adhere under the number 05.75.10481.

You can view our deposit certificate by clicking on its number: IDDN.FR.001.280039.000.S.P.2005.000.10000.

4. Strong and reliable partners

Another piece of evidence of durability of the LP7 software is provided by our numerous partners whose financial, commercial and technological strengths are renowned. These partners have adopted the LP7 technology as their secure standard to develop electronic signing applications. They warrant your security and peace of mind.
