Software publisher and confidence operator

Lex Persona was created in 2005, many years after infrastructure public key management first appeared. The company was founded based on the realisation that the market for dematerialisation could not develop successfully without taking into account two factors:

1. The need to simplify the electronic signing of documents for the user.

Using a handwritten signature is easy, so the software developed should be user-friendly with strong emphasis on the following aspects:

  • Technical: managing digital identities on various cryptographic devices
  • Legal: supporting qualified certificates, support for formats developed evidence
  • Functional: supporting signature policies or interoperability needs evidence

2. The need to easily integrate electronic signing into business applications.

In the same way that we always have access to pens and paper documents, the software developed should be easily adaptable to existing application software architectures (rich client, thin client, Web Service, batch). The goal? To replace the action of manually signing a document with signing it electronically.

Lex Persona focused all its efforts on research and development to meet these two requirements. Insodoing, we have designed and developed a full range of solutions that are user-friendly and easily integrated into business applications.

An open and inclusive approach

Lex Persona contributes actively in the working groups promoting dematerialisation in France and Europe, including:

  • Participation in working groups MINEIE, the General Repository Interoperability (RGI) and e-procurement (OEAP DMP)
  • Active member of the Alliance for Digital Trust ( ACN )
  • Member of the Liaison Committee for Professional Electronic Exchanges ( CLEEP )
  • Participation in the Pan European Public Procurement Online ( PEPPOL ) project: development of an Open Source PEPPOL XKMS customer, service reference for validation of certificates for French public procurement
